when i was about 10 or 11 years old, i sneaked out of mass after communion (standard trick), and sat in my mom's car to wait for her. it was freezing cold, so i hunted around for some gloves or anything to keep my hands warm, and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice large pair of unfamiliar leather gloves with fur inside. i was a few minutes into enjoying the magic gloves, when my neighbor and his son opened the doors to their car and found me inside, wearing Mr. R's gloves.

Hi again, thanks for Lush! Did you ever catch them live? I found them around the time they (unbeknowst to me) announced their inevitable split (1998). But I saw the reunion with a good friend of mine. At the roundhouse London. And also Kate Bush at the Apollo in Hammersmith. With a lot of luck I managed 1 ticket (rear stalls, standing) and saw almost nothing as I had not gotten my new glasses. But, once in a lifetime......

I once walked out of a tobacconist shop and went to my car, only to discover to my horror that the entire left side of my car was riddled with huge dents, as if someone had gone back and forth with a ball peen hammer on it. I was in a panic, then a rage. I then noticed the back seats were filled to the top of the front seats with garbage. I stepped back and then saw that it was an identical model and color of my car, parked a few spaces over. You can imagine my relief.

I remember recently being in a panic after Daniel Johnston passed away and I'd misplaced my copy of Dead Dog's Eyeball. I ended up having to rip a copy from the station's (KBOO) library. I still haven't found my copy. I suspect I left it in the air room years ago.

A bit more off-topic that usual for me: My office is in a converted storage shed, so when I need to reload/empty fluids I have to go in the house. I just walked in the house and found my son's Doberman mix licking a cast iron skillet it pulled off the stove.
