	1:50pm mariano: Interesting - I've been watching the Ken Burns documentary on country music, and in the episodes dealing with historical antecedents, they showed Appalachian musicians who did similar vocal rhythms to this Inuit song.

I remember distinctly that she told us, at some point between first and fourth grade, that "music is organized sound". I challenged this, and asked her about whatever crazy examples of sounds that could be planned I could think of, and every time she agreed that such would be music. It blew my mind. One early step towards grooming me for WFMU's weirdness.
