"Super Bowl" is a trademark, but your use of it in this context is no more an infringement than if you announced the labels of the records you played.

I stopped watching football after I'd been coaching children in it or a few years. I'm like, what good is watching, when I can't correct their form?
  11:30am

Don’t watch the Super Bowl! Do something better. Something way cooler and more original. Take a stand against mediocre mass produced culture.

Its two really good, balanced teams. A lot of times the matchups are teams that are strong in one phase of the game. With that said, Super Bowls are really unpredictable -- so when you think its gonna be a good game, it often turns into a shitshow. But I would still watch.
  11:35am

@jpuva is right.

Feeling disaffected, dissociated even, from what passes for the popular mainstream (what else is new?) -- I turn on the Michael Shelley Show (is that copyrighted?) and hear Merle Haggard, Nick Lowe, not to mention Peter and the Pepperpots and Dave Dudley, a quick I don't get it in response to the Grammy's and the Sooper Bowl. then a sweet singing description of good bass playing from the mighty Carol Kaye. All within 15 minutes or so. There's a place for us....

@MS hey mike: here are the two main storylines of the superbowl.

Okay, if we're gonna talk *football*...the 49ers represent the acme of "parity" -- which seems to be the business model of the NFL -- where a team can go from worst to first in the span of a season. In the 49ers case they went from 4-12 to "the Big Game."
