Fair to say that many people in govt. these days indulged in a bit of the old ultraviolence ...

Hello, Julie! Hello, Ensouled Ones!

Hello, Bowie!

how's the music volume? I know it's often too quiet I want to get it up a bit without distortion
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:06pm
listener james from westwood:

I thought this sounded pleasantly like a film score; I was close!

The music is maybe a teeny bit low?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:07pm
Handy Haversack:

Bowie volume sounded pretty good -- maybe just a tetch low? Not sure what the baseline should be for this one?
Avatar 12:09pm
Photocopy Cha Cha:

Hey Julie, James, Nobody, Handy. Music volume good, the hi-fi qualities will be wasted on me as I head again to the scary world out there, and have to use either the tinny sounding phone speaker or headphones with a crackling cable. Won#t be commenting much but present as a listener. This is the 5 hour one? Hope your laptop won't fry Julie, use all available cooling options (OK, I am not really a computer technician ;) )!

@12:17 Handy Haversack: the water is pretty clean here (unless there is algae) and the b**tard virus does not really spread in the swimming water (well this is the knowledge we have now) and I really don't get close to anyone out there as no-one is wearing masks really at least here in the countryside - the restrictions are gone to some extent, we are not back to normal, but almost. Then there are paranoid at-risk people like me, who change to the other side of the road as soon as there are any other people....

I have yet to watch a stream. I probably don't have or won't use any of the platforms in use on them. And even still ... I don't know. We just haven't done it.

Cloth mask. So yeah a whole lot of good it is doing I'm sure. Still better than nothing. It is recommended that we wear them in our common areas and elevators. So many people not wearing them of course.

yeah my building is still like that too. Got into an elevator with a maskless man who then put his mask on.

We have thousands in our building. Thankfully probably less than half are actually here right now. The only checks we have are signs advising people to stay home if they are sick and reminding them to wash their hands.

Hired for odd jobs for a senior citizen last week when the hyrdroseeding crew for her development came through. I didn't see the interaction, but moments after she spoke to a crewmember, she reported that when he, without a mask, kept approaching her, she said, "Don't come close to me," and he barked at her,"You people pay too much attention to the news!"...loudly and abruptly enough to shake her up a little.

Patchy hodge-podgey worklife for last several years, with some regular acquaintance hires and random bits of assisting, along with occasional moments of former worklife in media production. Unfotunately, more definable work areas in the mix include ones utterly decked and deferred for the present, such as theater-related jobs. But very fortunately, and almost inexplicably, the hashy miscellany is pretty busy right now, so no sudden stop in laboring and earning.

Some performing companies keep announcing re-opening/re-trying dates, but the extra caution conditions and distancing, and willingness of patrons -- which for theaters often means seniors -- make it all unknowable and roll-the-dicey.

I try to be balanced about the whole thing. Social distance where ever possible, wear a mask while indoors and close to people. Only go to places if 'necessary' but I don't get a lot of anxiety if I have to get close to people.
