I feel guilty for having seen one of Kate Bush's London 2014 performances - so many did not get a ticket and I did. And yet i did not like it as much as I thought I would, as it was mostly based on A Sky of Honey (Aerial disc 2) and The Ninth Wave (Hounds of Love, side 2), neither of which are my favorites from her brilliant work. Also all the mighty visual were lost on me, I was at the very back of the balcony and my first ever specs arrived the same day the concert took place, only that I was some thousands of miles away.

The 1960s Cohen had that intimate Folk thing - Classic. But the later stuff had bazouki & some interesting touches - magnificent back singers.

Revolution Rabbit Nov63 @2:20 : Cohen always used good backing singers, contrasting nicely with his, if more charismatic , well, less 'professional' voice.

Even if it is a pity Joni Mitchell has not made any new music for ages, I guess it is what she is comfortable with. She said sometimes during 00s(?) she has said what she has to say and she prefers painting (not using those exact words).

I'm going to go back and listen to the show, Julie. It looks wonderful, and Kate was very moved. She had a little trouble figuring out the commenting but says she loved it so much.

I am also just giving the Hairlympics gold to Linda Ronstadt, and this decision will brook no argument. Hotsie motsie!
