Handy - yeah, man. If you read the testimonials, the hypnotism comes in about ten years ago. He was testing techniques on some women, using their results to hone his methods. I think most major publications are staying away from that angle, but to me, it's the most insidious part of it. This isn't just a "comics culture" problem. It's straight up diabolical.

@ultradamno: No, I have not seen Weather Underground (2002). I'll have to check it out. I have seen Underground (1976)directed by Emile de Antonio and Haskell Wexler. For me there is something morbidly fascinating about these 60s radical groups and all other forms of fanaticism. That's why I listen to Music of Mind Control.

Weather Underground did this thing SLA also did where they declared that since they would have to lie low, being radicals and all, that any member asked would be obliged to sexually perform for any other member in the spirit of unity or whatever. i was a little kid in the 60s, all these radical groups were painted as truly evil people, no matter how "good" or "bad" their causes . . . in later years, Patti Hearst's kidnapping was constantly on the news, i remembering being in my bedroom, doing my homework with the radio on -- and the news broke with a tape from Patti Hearst -- i was just a teenager, but i figured regardless of what she was saying, it was possible that she may have been doing whatever she could just to fucking SURVIVE
