I've had meetings with senator's aides, and when I explain to them that if I made enough to pay average rent in my city, I will make too much to get Medicaid, they asked ME to WRITE IT OUT and SEND IT TO THEM. I don't work though. I'm on Disability, and I am kept at 1/3 below the poverty line. So there's nowhere I can afford in this entire state.

My apartment is a lovely converted brownstone. That has clearly seen better days, but I've got an eat in kitchen and a dishwasher and most importantly CLOSETS!! and WINDOWS!! That have VISIBLE SKY!! That's why I left NYC. I spend too much time at home to live in an overpriced sunless shithole.

My apartment is a lovely converted brownstone. That has clearly seen better days, but I've got an eat in kitchen and a dishwasher and most importantly CLOSETS!! and WINDOWS!! That have VISIBLE SKY!! That's why I left NYC. I spend too much time at home to live in an overpriced sunless shithole.
