That is too funny about the Five Canadians! They did the same with Sir Douglas Quintet, wanted them to act like they were British and not from U.S., TX! I just looked up the Five Canadians on Discogs. There is a really cool modern '60's sounding band now of young lads from Corpus Christi called The Blinds Owls. They will blow your mind live! They were touring TX and CA quite a bit before the pandemic. The first time I saw them was with the Ugly Beats at Carousel Lounge here. They opened up with You're Gonna Miss Me and blew everyone away! They were like 21 then a few years ago and had ALL the energy to go with it! What I was saying is they remind me of the Five Canadians - they are all Latin except the drummer who's a redhead! Check out any of their videos on YouTube!
