	3:47pm Sid Griffin: Todd, cool show! The Pretty Things and The Action both covered the Hillman-era Byrds a fair bit. Most of the songs on Gilded Palace Of Sin were sped up by producer Larry Marks, hence the Gram/Chris harmonies on Devil In Disguise being a bit Alvin & The Chipmunks. The Byrds' version of Miles Davis' Milestones was said to be quite good by producer Gary Usher but Lord knows where it is now. I would kill to hear it...only heard the little bit on that SongMakers TV special. Play some bluegrass, Todd, how about Chris' band The Hillmen? C'mon!

Chuck Conners was in the Angels system as I recall and yes, Todd, I will try to stick with music here. I saw Desert Rose twice, they had a lot more grease live than the rather polished C&W hits they enjoyed.

The Downliner Sect actually released a ‘country rock’ album in 1965, their second, The Country Sect. The Byrds' version of Miles Davis' Milestones was said to be quite good by producer Gary Usher but Lord knows where it is now.
