	♥ 10:20am fred: A few years ago, there was road works nearby, and they set up a metal cutting station right on my level, maybe a hundred feet away. It was going on from 10pm to 6am. I got almost no sleep for the two weeks it went on

	10:23am spodiodi: my condolences, TDK60. in my old place in nob hill, i'd hear them every night, just after laying down to sleep (mostly i think i could hear those racing along the embarcadero or bay bridge.) new place has a similar phenom, though i think the racers here are using 280. in both cases, every night (wasn't the case pre-plague... at least not in our last place.)

	10:25am spodiodi: there are more exotic/vintage cars around here though, and i don't mind listening to them as much (and seeing them is nice, on those rare occasions they roll by our little street)
	10:26am TDK60: Hi spodiodi. Similar thing there. It's weird; it seems to have taken off right when the pandemic shutdown occurred last March/April or at least became real noticeable. I've had it! I now plan on going down some nights and try to get photos of license plates.

	♥ 10:28am doctorjazz: Way,way back, my girlfriend (now wife) lived on 23rd street and 8th avenue NYC, and I stayed over sometimes. There was midday noise and traffic sounds any time of the day or night. We got used to white noise machines then, helped a lot.

	10:34am TDK60: I have a sneaking suspicion this is one situation where the cops are ignoring problems, to get back at the largely anti-Republican populace. They've been known to do slow-down/non-cooperation , like after the public rejected "stop and frisk."

	10:23am spodiodi: my condolences, TDK60. in my old place in nob hill, i'd hear them every night, just after laying down to sleep (mostly i think i could hear those racing along the embarcadero or bay bridge.) new place has a similar phenom, though i think the racers here are using 280. in both cases, every night (wasn't the case pre-plague... at least not in our last place.)

	10:26am TDK60: Hi spodiodi. Similar thing there. It's weird; it seems to have taken off right when the pandemic shutdown occurred last March/April or at least became real noticeable. I've had it! I now plan on going down some nights and try to get photos of license plates.

	♥ 10:28am doctorjazz: Way,way back, my girlfriend (now wife) lived on 23rd street and 8th avenue NYC, and I stayed over sometimes. There was midday noise and traffic sounds any time of the day or night. We got used to white noise machines then, helped a lot.
