Like - UltimateSpinach is both 'trying too hard' - & actually darker than a lot of other Psych. Which comes across as kinda 'Punk' to me... & the Velvet Underground did well in Boston...

all i saw growing up was that chopped cooked stuff that looked horrible. Sauteed and steamed I like though, as long as you keep the leaves intact. But a spinach salad with mushrooms is my favorite.

there is dispute about that...I think cooking reduces oxalic (sp?) acid, which blocks calcium or something?

Avatar 11:17pm

When Sid died, I thought, "punk is dead." When Bowie died, I thought, "Well, it's going to be my time soon." Both changed my life... Bowie changed it the most.

in 1966 (I think) when they were saying that Paul died, I had a babysitter come over (my parents had a killer stereo and the babysitters loved coming over and brining their records). The babysitter played that song (forget its name) backwards where George supposedly said, "I buried Paul." That scared the sh*t out of me! I couldn't sleep for three days!

JohnnyRotten was so compelling. & I never felt PiL had anything to prove about being legit after that. But ...as important as all that was - I never dug into what the Lyrics of the piSToLs or Clash actually were ...yerknow - kid in NewHampshuh - different times.

@david hi there! I love that album though, the jingle bits just annoy me. @David yes my friend Tammy Faye Starlite does a show as Nico and boy it is not kind LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm

Not the most played, but the two nastiest Pistol's tracks Bodies and No Feelings still just ring so true
