	7:11pm Gary: Man, that's a great question. I honestly do not know the year it closed. I moved to Queens in 2010 and I think it was still around then, but I honestly can't remember my last visit there.

	7:14pm Gary: Yes! I moved to New York in 1997, spent the first few months in Manhattan, then Bronx, then Brooklyn before moving here

Infinite regression . . . in an attempt to get all information on a given topic, you practically end up when the first fish crawled out of the water. And THEN there's the peril of being intimidated by people far more knowledgeable than you. I've abandoned a bunch of projects for those reasons. But any work worth a damn begins out of an obsession.

But construction halted and it turned into the world's first highrise favela. Media accounts used it as a blank screen to project hopes and fears regarding late modernity. It's a great story waiting to be told

	9:00pm northguineahills: @zzz: when I lived in Bed-Stuy, I never ventured that far over (this was 2000-2003) by the 2010s when i biked over there regularly, it was verboten for me to buy recs., however, on fulton st, there used to be Kulture Lion, which had the best jamaican vinyl selection on Fulton and Washington (which sadly closed around 2006).
