"Green Sleeves," apt today, which according to a commenter on another board is Elizabeth I's birthday.

I thought that allegedly King Henry 8th wrote "Greensleeves"?

Candy-O'67:

Hey Mr. Fab, Dean!
  12:26pm
Dean:

Me, too, Mr. Fab, but that's apocryphal. I do have at least one recording of a recital of tunes attributed to the big knucklehead. Can't recall whether "Greensleeves" made the cut.
Avatar 12:27pm
Mr Fab:

Q: Why do hipsters hate Henry XIII?
A: They say: Henry I was good, Henry II was ok, after that they sold out.
I just like early Henrys.

(dumb joke I just made up now)

No sleeves of green, but "Grene Growith The Holy," hell, yeah.

Superstitious hipsters don't like XIII anything.

It was his time. (21,5 yrs) He really had a good life without major medical problems. I'm glad we put him to sleep gently, before something ugly happening in his belly. I'm also relieved. It's the end of a chapter.

Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:47pm

Willeke brought two cats and two dogs in the house in the same year. I protested: you know they will die in a row, don't you? She: ah, we'll see by then. Then she died herself and I was left with two old cats and one old dog. we'll see by then huh ... ;-) So I can finally close the whole chapter now, you see?
