Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from October 4, 2024 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

There's that 1966 interview in L.A. - often referenced probly for being filmed well & I guess some relevant questions & answers ; they are asked whose versions of their material they like best - & John (being John) just says theirs (their own versions). I would venture he's born out by these... Same press thing btw Paul says they cop things from others as much as people cop things from them. If there were any doubt about that...

I'd kind of like it if someone did a show examining the writing/recording career of Bobby Scott...covers are out there, but probably not that numerous, aside from a few songs...never hear about him
