I've never really 'got' New Year's Eve, even when I used to spend it with friends. 'Out with the old. In with the old' is what I say! The only thing meaningful for me is that it feels that we turn a corner, what with the daylight hours and heading towards spring. As for resolutions, ha! I once saw a joke in Private Eye - two fellas at a NYE party. drink in hand etc. Goes like this - fella says "Have you made any resolutions?", the other says: "You know, cut down on the carbs and booze, do a bit more exercise..." First fella: " Haha. me neither" Hi Handy.

The only thing meaningful for me is that it feels that we turn a corner, what with the daylight hours and heading towards spring. As for resolutions, ha! I once saw a joke in Private Eye - two fellas at a NYE party. drink in hand etc. Goes like this - fella says "Have you made any resolutions?", the other says: "You know, cut down on the carbs and booze, do a bit more exercise..."
