	6:52pm (((Murakami Whywolf): I like the Coppola movie except for making Van Helsing a coarse lunatic, part of the modern reluctance have a really virtuous character in drama, the equivalent making Dracula even vaguely sympathetic (corrupt and corrupting Evil exists, as will be obvious in twenty days) and indulging Tom Waits' Blanc/Karloff impression, much worse than Reeves' or Ryder's spotty accents…but it best conveys the combination of horror, repressed sex and joy in being 'modern' with which the original novel was steeped.
