It backfired even further when I woke up to him pushing software that could find duplicates in a music database. Except he trusted google more than me so called "duplicates" "doubloons". I met the Universal Music rep's eye and we were both trying not to laugh. On exit I said "was it talk like a pirate day?" and we both had a hearty laugh. My boss never agreed that the French "doublon" was to be translated as "duplicate" until being laughed at at a conference
