Rather unfair considering not only her own talents but also simply because, eh, a human being in question. Same applies for Yoko, naturally. I love old music but the music journalism of old has not always aged that prettily.

I listened to Rich Kid Blues the other day, Not that exciting song choices, but it is a haunting audio document. She probably was not all that well back then.

Julie since you played Broadcast today and talked a few episodes ago about how it is a pity their "new" releases are just demos/incomplete or something (sorry for possible misquotes) - I was under the impression a new album was going to be released, with the incomplete/unfinished recordings going to be finished etc. but for whatever reason the demos and other recordings were released as is. That sort of recordings have a certain charm but I still would have wanted one final 'proper' album.
(Or maybe I have just been dreaming about the demos etc. being polished in order to become an album. Dreaming of Broadcast.... serious business.)

The origins of “kip” trace back to the 18th century as a slang word meaning a brothel or place where people could sleep. Over time, the word generalized to refer to any place to sleep or rest. By the early 20th century it was being used in its modern slang sense of catching a brief nap or sleep.
