Hi Julie! I was just wondering when the Elton track was going to play today 😊
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48pm
Matt from Springfield:

↳ Curtis @5:47
Is there an Elton track in EVERY show? (Not counting obvious theme shows where it might not apply.) But it sure seems like there is an Elton in every show. Cocteau Twins in *nearly* every one too!

You sure love bands with odd names. Is that, in part, what draws you to certain bands?
Avatar 🦇 6:11pm

It's best not to judge an album by its cover (or by its name), but both are ways to get a listener's attention, and suggest the general creativity of the band.

I used to see all kinds of albums with interesting titles or band names, and wished I had the budget to just shop for music under that criterion. But now I appreciate them more because the internet gives me a chance to browse music with my ears, as well as my limited eyes (I'm visually impaired).

That's fortunate - makes it quicker to hear a wide variety of music and focus on what interests you.

as much as I love sample before you buy kinda miss getting a record for its cover and having NO clue what the sound was going to be. I was often surprised but rarely disappointed. I also learned there's lots of male bands putting pretty girls on their covers.

I've had both pleasant and disappointment with that technique. But I, too, loved shopping for and finding hidden treasures with the anticipation of getting home to give it a spin. Loved the feel, smell, and inclusion of tangible media to my fortress.
