↳ Song: "Desert Betrayal" by "The Adventures of Rocky Jordan"
In spite of all the weird things about Rocky Jordan that are kind of odd - white actors doing the voices, and the music is made by Americans, too. But the show does a lot to actually give Americans a taste of life and culture from another part of the world, and while some of the characters are stereotypes, the larger picture of this part of the world does contain truth. One of the pieces of trivia about this show is that they would use an Army Guidebook to Cairo to help offer a little more "color" to the details in the show.

We've heard this story on the show before, but this is a different production of that story, with Norman Rose doing the narration.

X-Minus One would occasionally have re-runs as part of the "official run" of shows. However, there were gaps in the broadcasting schedule occasionally, and local stations would often re-run shows that were fan favorites. It became very common for local stations to horde old X-Minus One episodes, to use as fill-in material when there wasn't a new episode. This would become relevant later in the run of the series...

The Thin Man movies have that problem. The Thin Man was the person who the case was about in the first movie. So "The Thin Man" name sticks with all the films, but there's no titular "Thin Man" in any other film.

I do like listening to radio from 70 years ago and it's still relevant, now.

In a Barnes & Noble a few days ago, I noticed a shelf full of Sandman books. How are they going to get rid of those now?
Come to think of it, how did they get rid of all their Dilbert books?

I watched Groundhog Day yesterday.

Yeah, I was thinking about the "repeating day" coincidence. I should watch Groundhog Day again. That movie's great.

I would also recommend the first season of "Russian Doll" for repeat day motifs. Not second season though. Big no on second season.

Dilbert still has a fanbase, even if it's very small, now.

Sandman still sells, but not as well as it used to. Certainly not enough to warrant having a full shelf anymore.

I think the average B&N shopper might not follow news stories like that.
