Hello, duke!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm
Jeff Golick:

Uncle Michael, not wasting any time. Most fathers are deserving, of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm
Jeff Golick:

Hey, Shaun. Welcome, and thanks for the level info. How now?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:10pm
Doug Schulkind:

Haven't yet noticed a change in levels, daddy-o.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm
Jeff Golick:

Good Maunday to you, too, LJfW!
Avatar 12:15pm
Shaun:

HI, Jeff. Volume's still below the face-melting/hair-frying optimum.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:17pm
Doug Schulkind:

Maybe a slight uptick in volume, but it could/should be higher. Maybe you should adjust your computer's overall volume output? Do it one notch at a time as this will be a more macro adjustment.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:18pm
Doug Schulkind:

Now NO volume.
Avatar 🥁 12:19pm
duke:

I like this drone sort of stuff you are playing
Avatar 12:20pm
Shaun:

damn...listening to the main stream - Duh!
I was wondering about all the talk about volume. It sounded fine, except it was the wrong stream

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:22pm

Sound is back but still should be louder.

Yeah, FUNKED UP. If any group of musicians was ready to receive the message and wisdom of electric period Miles, it was the Japanese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Jeff Golick:

I'm not embarrassed (enough) to say that I've not heard of a single one of the players on this record: www.discogs.com...

by the way Doug - what happened to David Blumin's show on wfmu? Why has it gone bye byes - really enjoyed it even if it was a bit esoteric, weird and out there!

Genius track from a GENIUS! -
John Martyn - one of my music greats!

Carmichael:

OK, back now. Prolly just a hiccup. I'm NOT panicking.
Avatar 1:39pm
FUNKED UP:

same here Carmichael - also sound seemed to distort - may be set too loud?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Doug Schulkind:

@FUNKED UP
I have no idea why Daniel Blumin's show is off the schedule. Most of the time, especially during the schedule spanning the summer, it is because DJs need to take the time off. Right now, there are way more DJs than there are slots, so sometimes, it's just about sitting out a schedule or time until the jigsaw puzzle rearranges in your favor. Again, no idea why Daniel is off.
Avatar 1:40pm
FUNKED UP:

had too turn down my volume as sound clipping!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm
Jeff Golick:

Hmm...adjusting settings/levels a tad...

FUNKED UP:

Jeff,
gonna play anything from Air's Premiers SymptĂ´mes - their brillaint debut album in 1997?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm
Jeff Golick:

@duke: and it's the 29th take!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm
Jeff Golick:

@FUNKED UP: I think we've stretched this Air theme as far as we can go today... Nice accent circumflex, however.
Avatar 1:49pm
FUNKED UP:

thanks Doug, I always fear the worst, even at WFMU - that the suits want the interesting weirdos out to be replaced by some house techno dj (true in his case) that hey is way more popular!
Avatar 1:51pm
FUNKED UP:

Jeff,
apparently you played some real fresh air at the beginning of the show!
Avatar 1:59pm
FUNKED UP:

so this was a 7" meant to get up the pop charts?
Avatar 2:02pm
FUNKED UP:

would sound interesting next to some German pop shlagen 7" in 1974!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm
Jeff Golick:

Not sure why FMP decided to release this as a 7" single, FUNKED UP! Things were different then? See also: www.discogs.com...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm
Jeff Golick:

Really? Not Gary Numan then?
Avatar 2:32pm

The gf pressuring me to trim my magazine collection, so I'm getting rid of all Wire and other magazines from 2006-2013. I didn't tell her that all issues are now available online, so, I'm keeping 1996-2005. Similarly, at Nat Geos from 2000-2003 are leaving.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm
Jeff Golick:

@Shaun: Thinking more of Vince Noir, I guess. Reality and all that...
Avatar 2:39pm
Shaun:

Not really a Boosh fan, i'm afraid. Too Fielding-phobic. (He's horribly overexposed here).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Jeff Golick:

Yes, I'm sure too much of Fielding is not a good thing. A little goes a long way, and my only exposure was via the DVDs and the radio show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Jeff Golick:

@UM: Just back from a run?
  2:46pm
KtrsBklyn:

Liking this! playing us out with something wife-friendly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm
Uncle Michael:

Ok, say you're 53 years old and leaving a meeting on one side of a college campus to return to your office on the other side of the campus and a 25 year-old female coworker that would otherwise have to walk back to the office asks if she can have have a ride in your sports car. What would you do. And when your wife asks you how your day was, would you mention this occurrence?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm

@KtrsBklyn: We try, we try!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm

It was hypothetical!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm
Uncle Michael:

I have this friend...
Avatar 3:01pm

I haven't decided yet I have bunch of stacks behind me. If I sell them, it would probably something like $4.20 total for 6 years worth.
