Just dropping in to say hello and goodbye. :( Sadly, I will have to sign off early tonight. I'll be listening for a little longer, but I'm gonna have to catch this show on the archive. Thanks in advance for a presumably great show! Good night, All!

Oh, The Pop Group. What do we think of this LP? Anybody heard it all the way through? I was pretty excited at first but have been a little disappointed with the bits I've heard so far. That song sounded okay I guess. There's a really terrible video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReSbezi9kW4

I'm sure we'll be hearing more of the new Pop Group LP. I really like that one that was just reissued... We Are Time. I got that one along with a few other amazing LPs at a garage sale in Lawrence KS in 1983 or thereabouts. Couldn't figure out why the dude was deaccessioning so many great LPs. He had a front yard full of 'em.
  12:43am

Okay, now I'm really going back to work...

What was the name of that Norberto Lobo track? Great show, by the way.
Avatar 2:54am
ausmanx:

rw, so did i, i never saw them in their prime, they're in sydney in 2 weeks and i wanted to be thrilled, but i'm not going. i'm surprised at how bad the album is, i thought they'd have something to say if they came back. but it's just puerile. these 60 year old blokes doing the same thing. not surprised Adrian Sherwood kept away from the project. now Bill Orcutt is another kettle of tension - sublime
Avatar 2:55am
kimgland:

great show, nick
  2:59am

My take is that it seems antithetical to their early '80s ideals. Pity. In agreement with you on the Orcutt too.

Thanks Mr. Name. Always a pleasure!
