	10:01am Wild Neil\|\|Peace All: When I was 3 or 4 I was stung on the upper lip by a hornet or yellow jacket. A couple days later, I sneezed out a dead insect. I cannot believe it unless I was there!

	10:04am Wild Neil\|\|Peace All: I also had poison ivy over 90% of my body once when I was 12. Eyelids, lips, EVERYWHERE. Yes, even THERE. New skin eventually grew where the rash WAS. The human body is amazing. @Melinda-did it go up my nose or into my mouth and through my sinuses?!

	11:15am JakeGould: College admissions is one thing. The requirement of a college degree for seemingly every job out there is another. I’m of the mind that most jobs that “require” a college degree are actually not anything close to needing a college degree. Another sign of the erosion of the middle class. I think there is utterly nothing wrong with simply getting a high school diploma and maybe 2 years and calling it a day. But society (at least in the U.S.) doesn’t agree with that.

	11:26am βrian: Student insurance cost me $500/year when I was in college in the 90s. That covered two surgeries, so it saved my ass.
	11:26am Trouble: sorry to hear that @ NGH. i advise my students to stay as clear as possible from debt. community college for 2 years then apply to a money school if you need to. state schools are obviously cheaper and are seeing a huge uptick of smart students who can't afford private school tuition.

Few of the people who are millionaires and billionaires out there got that fortune from “hard work.” The sad reality of American life (and in other places) is the “Protestant work ethic” is utter bunk.

	11:40am fred: At least when it comes to software, the school you attended is BS. It only matters if you're going to be a "leader", in which case you're already loaded so it never mattered. Community college is the way to go. Nobody cares about your college after a year or so

Why do they charge tuition? The board of directors built a multi-million dollar new building in Manhattant that they could not afford.

I think there is utterly nothing wrong with simply getting a high school diploma and maybe 2 years and calling it a day. But society (at least in the U.S.) doesn’t agree with that.
