WHLI, (The Hits Of A Lifetime) 1100 AM on Long Island...not too much better than WCBS, but an entertaining local feel for sure. I get it in Western Queens now and again. But the fun part is sometimes when it is near sundown, and I am 150 miles upstate, it's sad little signal comes in clear on a skywave skip! Then comes the time when all the little AM stations have to reduce power (official sunset) and WTAM 1100 comes in from Cleveland (which I also like, but only as I am a Cleveland sports fan).

The power of AM radio is fun.
